This alginate-based gel-textured product gives the skin a soft, smooth feel, improves its structure and activates circulation. Among its other properties, the mask also has antibacterial activity.

The patented enzyme complex works at all stages of epidermal renewal: it removes the hardened outer skin layer, promotes faster skin renewal and stimulates collagen synthesis.

The enzymes (collagenase and protease) break down dead skin cells and damaged collagen molecules without affecting healthy ones, thus softening and brightening the skin. Elastase stimulates collagen synthesis and helps restore the skin barrier. Glucanase and other lytic enzymes break down microbial cell walls and thus stop their growth in areas of skin damage.

Sodium alginate is a natural polysaccharide obtained from red algae that softens and intensively moisturises the skin. Alginates have sorption properties and remove toxins accumulated in skin cells. They also activate circulation, tone, deeply moisturise, shape and firm the skin, and help smooth fine lines.

Soluble beta-glucans stimulate epithelial regeneration and promote collagen production. Yeast beta-glucans are powerful antioxidants and anti-wrinkle agents that penetrate the deeper layers of the skin, reducing wrinkle depth and inflammatory processes; in medicine they are used to treat burn-damaged skin. The beta-glucan composition stimulates the skin’s protective mechanism and Langerhans cells.

The nicotinamide (vitamin B3) in the mask improves microcirculation in the skin, brightens and evens out skin tone, has a stimulating effect and reduces redness in dry or irritated skin. It promotes skin regeneration and the skin’s protective functions, improves skin hydration and reduces transepidermal water loss, protects against skin ageing and UV damage, and improves the appearance and elasticity of the skin.

D-panthenol (provitamin B5) penetrates deeper skin layers and effectively moisturises, soothes, reduces skin irritation and itching, protects the skin and reduces inflammation.

Allantoin is a safe, non-irritating component. It has a soothing effect on stressed, damaged skin, helps damaged skin cells recover, promotes cell proliferation and reduces inflammation. Allantoin also acts as a humectant and thus helps improve skin texture.
