The gel is safe for all skin types and for the face and body. It contains no hormonal or chemical medicinal substances, yet its unique enzyme complex and other components very effectively promote the healing of damaged skin.
The enzyme complex has a stimulating effect
through various targets and processes and selectively
breaks down dead collagen molecules and the components
of disintegrated cells. In other words, the enzyme complex
works until it reaches living cells and then becomes inactive. As a result, living tissue and cells are not damaged and no scars form during healing. These unique properties of the enzyme complex make the hydrogel stand out among other products with a similar purpose.
The product is ideal for the hygienic care of wounds left after burns: it speeds up their healing and epithelialisation, protects damaged areas from microbial invasion and has a soothing effect. Regular use of the hydrogel throughout the healing period leaves almost no chance of scarring.
The hydrogel provides long-lasting hydration, makes the skin more elastic and protects it from cracking again. The hydrogel is also used as a supportive care product for cold sores on the lips. It reduces the itching and discomfort that occur as the wound contracts and a scab forms. The gel maintains moisture levels, cleans damaged tissue of dead cell debris and prevents the damaged lip epithelium from cracking again.
The hydrogel has adhesive properties – it covers the skin well and stays on its surface, forming a breathable, protective, elastic film that creates an additional protective barrier and prevents pathogens from entering.
Thanks to the enzyme complex, inflammation in the damaged area decreases, the skin regenerates faster and the synthesis of new collagen is stimulated.
The hydrogel has an antibacterial effect. The glucanase and other lytic enzymes in the complex break down microbial cell walls and thus stop their growth in areas of skin damage. DNase hydrolyses the DNA of disintegrated cells, speeding up the cleansing of damaged skin. The enzyme amylase, by regulating the release of EGF growth factor, also promotes the healing of damaged skin. Lipase slows down prostaglandin synthesis in the skin, reducing tissue swelling. Collagenase and protease break down dead skin cells and damaged collagen molecules without affecting healthy tissue, thus speeding up the healing process. Elastase stimulates collagen synthesis and helps restore the skin barrier. An additional effective moisturising effect is provided by the D-panthenol in the hydrogel, which penetrates deeper skin layers, soothes and reduces skin irritation and itching. Glycerol extract of calendula also has a soothing effect, tones damaged skin and acts as an anti-inflammatory and bactericidal agent. Chapped, dry and flaky skin, as well as skin affected by atopic dermatitis, is much more exposed to the risk of infection, suffers from transepidermal water loss and from allergic reactions on contact with various substances, so the hydrogel can be an excellent aid for soothing and improving the condition of such skin. By providing hydration, a soothing effect and protection against microbial contamination, the hydrogel also regulates regeneration and keratinisation processes.
Ingredients: water, Streptomyces gougerotii enzyme complex, glycerin, Calendula officinalis flower extract, sodium alginate, panthenol, allantoin, PVP (polyvinylpyrrolidone), potassium sorbate, citric acid.
How to use: gently apply a small amount of hydrogel to the damaged areas of skin. The skin must be clean before applying the product. A disposable spatula can be used: gently and continuously apply a layer of gel over the entire damaged area from one edge to the other. The skin can be treated 2–4 times a day. On insect bites, apply a thin layer of hydrogel several times a day and massage in well until absorbed.
Storage: Store in the original, undamaged packaging, out of the reach of children, at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C. Protect from sunlight.
